I've come back from Newcastle with a bad case of Tyne flu, so my detailed report on recent advances in the field of optical coherence tomography will have to wait. But while I die quietly in the corner of a darkened room, here are a few photos of Amelie on her birthday. Needless to say I'm not in any of them. But in a few years time, when she asks where I was, I'll tell her I was behind the camera. About four hundred miles behind the camera.
She's had cards...
... presents...
... cake...
... pizza...
... ice cream...
... and bubbles...
But most of all, she's had fun with her family...
Well, most of them.
